About Me

From a very early age Alexandra showed interest in art. Most of her family are involved in the Arts. She studied at Sidcup School of Art and Chelsea School of Art. Subsequently was employed at a major London Advertising Studio. Where she was then trained as a colour retoucher moving on to become an illustrator. After marriage and children Alexandra became freelance for a number of years. During this time secured many portrait commissions; procured by an agent in Chislehurst. She particularly loves to draw & paint the figure so furthered  studies at night School. Here Alexandra had the good fortune to be tutored by a scholar who studied with Oskar Kokoschka - an experience that taught her much about the importance of good drawing skills; this is very much reflected in her figure. & portrait work


Alexandra now works from her studio in Hampshire ; after spending 10 years in Spain where she regularly exhibited in the Alicante Region.


 She was shortlisted for the 2011 Artist & Illustrators 'Artist of the year prize ' with her watercolour Portrait DeJa vu


Alexandra's paintings are held in collections in England, Spain,Germany, France,South Africa & U.S.A
